Amazon A+ Content Appeal

RE: Rejection of A+ Content for Amazon.es and Amazon.com.mx marketplaces

The issue is that I believe that my A+ Content, for the kdp.amazon.es and the kdp.amazon.com.mx platforms, has been rejected for non-valid reasons.

I hereby appeal this decision to reject the A+ Content for the Amazon Spain (amazon.es) marketplace. I ask that the content entitled "Spanish K Aug 2022 and "Spanish P Aug 2022" be approved. When this is approved, then I ask that you mark THIS content, entitled “APPEAL” and added as another content (which is done ONLY to get the attention of the A+ Content team to correct this error) as rejected (as of course, it is not intended to be added to these listings). If your group is also responsible for the A+ Content appearing on the amazon.mx marketplace, then I request that that last posted content also be approved. Otherwise, please direct this message to the group responsible for the amazon.mx content, so that it can be acted upon.

Please see three sections below –

(1) Evidence that Amazon.es is inconsistent with every other Amazon marketplace in interpretation of the rules,
(2) Why the submitted content does not violate any of the Amazon rules,
(3) Why Amazon A+ Content needs to fix their process, to allow some ability to respond to the A+ Content moderators, as evidenced by the poorly operating process that hasn’t allowed discussion for over four months.

(1) Evidence that Amazon.es is inconsistent with every other Amazon marketplace in interpretation of the rules.

I have one novel, entitled Unfettered Journey (in English), that is available on Amazon via Amazon KDP in seven languages plus British English, in both Kindle and paperback formats. The novel therefore is in American English (Unfettered Journey, ASIN B08D7SMRR1), French (Un Voyage sans entraves, ASIN B08TVSPTBY), Italian (Un viaggio senza confini, ASIN B093FZWD1H), German (Ins Ungewisse, ASIN B09BBB3HGM), Brazilian Portuguese (Jornada Sem Limite, ASIN B09GLK1DP5), Spanish (Un viaje sin confines, ASIN B09FG36WPS), Japanese (Unfettered Journey: Japanese Edition, also named 自由への , ASIN B09VFJC6VD), and British English (Unfettered Journey: British English Edition, ASIN B09RMRZYN7).

I have recently verified that all these editions in all languages have consistent descriptions and have attempted to use completely consistent A+ Content. The A+ Content for all consists of three jpg images: a header image, an image with book content description, and a third image with ONE QUOTATION, WITH ATTRIBUTION, as per Amazon A+ Content rules.

Please note that the A+ Content – which is identical for all of the versions of the book, except that the content is translated into each language (French, Italian, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, British English). I have added A+ Content – all the same (except for language) – for all editions except Japanese. All A+ Content has been accepted – except for that for the amazon.es marketplace and the amazon.com.mx marketplace. I believe that there is no good reason for this inconsistency. Therefore, please have the submitted content on those marketplaces accepted.

Please compare the three images submitted for each of the two A+ Content requests, in Spanish, with the content for these other languages, which have been accepted and live on Amazon marketplaces for over four months:

My intent is to make the marketing for all editions of this same book share marketing material consistent across Amazon marketplaces, for the best results. The above demonstrates that while every other Amazon marketplace has approved this content, the Spanish A+ Content team has not, and is inconsistent.

(2) Why the submitted content does not violate any of the Amazon rules.

The email message that I received explaining why my content was not approved states:
During review, we found that your A+ Content "Spanish P Aug 2022" contains text or images which do not meet our content guidelines. Please make the following revisions before resubmitting:

1. A+ content allows up to four editorial quotes from well-known publications or public figures (e.g. Celebrity endorsement, Instagram Influencer). Quotes must be accompanied by the author or source. Editorial quotes from private citizens (e.g. Customers) are not permitted.

This reason is clearly incorrect. The A+ Content submitted for these two editions (Kindle and paperback) consists of three jpg images: a header image, an image with book content description, and a third image with ONE QUOTATION, WITH ATTRIBUTION, as per Amazon A+ Content rules. Therefore, I do not understand WHAT quotes you might be referring to which are not attributed. Note that the second image includes only descriptive material about the book, similar to what is found in the book description itself. Clearly, every other Amazon marketplace A+ Content review team found the material was consistent with Amazon’s rules.

(3) Why Amazon A+ Content needs to fix their process, to allow some ability to respond to the A+ Content moderators, as evidenced by the poorly operating process that hasn’t allowed discussion for over four months.

I find it ridiculous that it has taken so long for this issue to be resolved. Note that I submitted this similar content – for all the above-listed editions, and the Spanish content – back in May 2022, over four months ago. The A+ Content was accepted in every other marketplace immediately. The Spanish content was rejected. I then have wasted hours trying to contact the A+ Content team, without any luck. No one at Amazon KDP, or the Amazon Sellers group, or any Amazon website or customer service rep has been able to direct me to anyone who will respond to any message. I was last told that they were sorry, it was impossible to reach your group.

Therefore, I have taken this non-standard route to reach your group. Since there is not sufficient space to post anything that might be readable, I have placed this message – in both English and in Spanish (poor Spanish, via Google translate) – on a page on my author website. This page is not indexed by me, so it will remain (somewhat) hidden for the time being. However, note that since Google and other Internet search engines routinely crawl all pages and update their search algorithms all the time, I cannot prevent this page from becoming visible. Therefore, I think it best for you to resolve this issue QUICKLY, so that I can remove this page. None of us wish for it to become discovered (and perhaps go viral), indicating the failure of the Amazon Spanish A+ Content team’s inability to be consistent with other Amazon marketplaces. RE: Rechazo de Contenido A+ para marketplaces de Amazon.es y Amazon.com.mx

El tema es que creo que mi Contenido A+, para las plataformas kdp.amazon.es y kdp.amazon.com.mx, ha sido rechazado por razones no válidas.

Por la presente apelo esta decisión de rechazar el Contenido A+ para el mercado de Amazon España (amazon.es). Solicito que se apruebe el contenido titulado "K en español de agosto de 2022" y "P en español de agosto de 2022". Cuando se apruebe, le pido que marque ESTE contenido, titulado "APELACIÓN" y agregado como otro contenido (que se hace SOLAMENTE para llame la atención del equipo de Contenido A+ para corregir este error) como rechazado (ya que, por supuesto, no está destinado a ser agregado a estos listados). Si su grupo también es responsable de que el Contenido A+ aparezca en el mercado de amazon.mx, entonces solicito que también se apruebe ese último contenido publicado, de lo contrario por favor dirija este mensaje al grupo responsable del contenido de amazon.mx, para que se actúe al respecto.

Tengo una novela, titulada Viaje sin trabas (en inglés), que está disponible en Amazon a través de Amazon KDP en siete idiomas más inglés británico, tanto en formato Kindle como en rústica. Por lo tanto, la novela está en inglés americano (Unfettered Journey, ASIN B08D7SMRR1), francés (Un Voyage sans entraves, ASIN B08TVSPTBY), italiano (Un viaggio senza confini, ASIN B093FZWD1H), alemán (Ins Ungewisse, ASIN B09BBB3HGM), portugués brasileño (Jornada Sem Limite, ASIN B09GLK1DP5), español (Un viaje sin confines, ASIN B09FG36WPS), japonés (Unfettered Journey: Japanese Edition, también denominado 自由への, ASIN B09VFJC6VD) e inglés británico (Unfettered Journey: British English Edition, ASIN B09RMRZYN7) .

Recientemente verifiqué que todas estas ediciones en todos los idiomas tienen descripciones consistentes y he intentado usar contenido A+ completamente consistente. El contenido A+ para todos consta de tres imágenes jpg: una imagen de encabezado, una imagen con la descripción del contenido del libro y una tercera imagen con UNA CITA, CON ATRIBUCIÓN, según las reglas de contenido A+ de Amazon.

Tenga en cuenta que el contenido A+, que es idéntico para todas las versiones del libro, excepto que el contenido está traducido a cada idioma (francés, italiano, alemán, portugués brasileño, español, inglés británico). Compare las tres imágenes enviadas para cada una de las dos solicitudes de contenido A+, en español, con el contenido para estos otros idiomas, que han sido aceptados y están disponibles en los mercados de Amazon durante más de cuatro meses:

Mi intención es hacer que el marketing de todas las ediciones de este mismo libro comparta el material de marketing de manera consistente en los mercados de Amazon, para obtener los mejores resultados. Lo anterior demuestra que, si bien todos los demás mercados de Amazon han aprobado este contenido, el equipo de contenido A+ en español no lo ha hecho y es inconsistente.

(2) Por qué el contenido enviado no viola ninguna de las reglas de Amazon.

El mensaje de correo electrónico que recibí explicando por qué no se aprobó mi contenido dice:

Durante la revisión, encontramos que su Contenido A+ "Español P Agosto 2022" contiene texto o imágenes que no cumplen con nuestras pautas de contenido. Realice las siguientes revisiones antes de volver a enviar:
1. El contenido A+ permite hasta cuatro citas editoriales de publicaciones conocidas o figuras públicas (por ejemplo, respaldo de celebridades, Influencer de Instagram). Las citas deben ir acompañadas del autor o fuente. No se permiten citas editoriales de ciudadanos particulares (p. ej., Clientes).

Esta razón es claramente incorrecta. El contenido A+ enviado para estas dos ediciones (Kindle y tapa blanda) consta de tres imágenes jpg: una imagen de encabezado, una imagen con la descripción del contenido del libro y una tercera imagen con UNA CITA, CON ATRIBUCIÓN, según las reglas de contenido A+ de Amazon. Por lo tanto, no entiendo QUÉ citas a las que podría referirse que no se atribuyen. Tenga en cuenta que la segunda imagen incluye solo material descriptivo sobre el libro, similar a lo que se encuentra en la descripción del libro. Claramente, todos los demás equipos de revisión de contenido A+ del mercado de Amazon encontraron que el material era consistente con las reglas de Amazon.

(3) Por qué Amazon A+ Content necesita corregir su proceso, para permitir cierta capacidad de responder a los moderadores de A+ Content, como lo demuestra el proceso de funcionamiento deficiente que no ha permitido la discusión durante más de cuatro meses.

Me parece ridículo que se haya tardado tanto en resolver este problema. Tenga en cuenta que envié este contenido similar, para todas las ediciones mencionadas anteriormente y el contenido en español, en mayo de 2022, hace más de cuatro meses. El Contenido A+ fue aceptado en todos los demás mercados inmediatamente. El contenido en español fue rechazado. Luego perdí horas tratando de contactar al equipo de A+ Content, sin suerte. Nadie en Amazon KDP, ni el grupo de vendedores de Amazon, ni ningún sitio web de Amazon o representante de servicio al cliente ha podido dirigirme a nadie que responda a ningún mensaje. La última vez que me dijeron que lo sentían, era imposible comunicarse con su grupo.

Por lo tanto, he tomado esta ruta no estándar para llegar a su grupo. Dado que no hay suficiente espacio para publicar nada que pueda ser legible, he colocado este mensaje, tanto en inglés como en español (español pobre, a través del traductor de Google), en una página en mi sitio web de autor. Esta página no está indexada por mí, por lo que permanecerá (algo) oculta por el momento. Sin embargo, tenga en cuenta que dado que Google y otros motores de búsqueda de Internet rastrean de forma rutinaria todas las páginas y actualizan sus algoritmos de búsqueda todo el tiempo, no puedo evitar que esta página sea visible. Por lo tanto, creo que es mejor que resuelva este problema RÁPIDAMENTE, para que pueda eliminar esta página. Ninguno de nosotros desea que se descubra (y quizás se vuelva viral), lo que indica el fracaso de la incapacidad del equipo de contenido A+ en español de Amazon para ser coherente con otros mercados de Amazon.
